Thieves steal dresses from Amy Winehouse’s Camden home

 

We are very sad to report that thieves have broken into late Amy Winehouse’s Camden home and stole two dresses worth £130,000.

One of the dresses stolen was her white, anchor-print wedding dress that wore when she married Blake Fielder-Civil in 2006.

The other dress is a newspaper-print cocktail dress that Amy wore when she performed on Jools Holland’s BBC music show the same year.

The dresses were due to be auctioned in New York later this year to raise money for the charity set up in her name after her death in July 2011 aged 27. The wedding dress was expected to go for £100,000 and the newspaper dress for £30,000.

Amy's dad Mitch Winehouse is devastated and described it as, "A blow."

“It’s sickening that someone would steal something in the knowledge of its sentimental value.

The dresses were among memorabilia being catalogued at the Back To Black singer’s home.

Mitch added: “The house in Camden is being sold so all of her possessions have been tagged, numbered and logged in preparation of storage.

“There was a window of about two days while that process was underway when the dresses could have been taken.

“A few people were involved and there was some coming and going.

“We’re going through everything else to see what else, if anything, has been lifted.

The fact that other expensive dresses were ignored raises suspicion that thieves were told specifically what to steal.

“We are all baffled as to why some of her designer dresses didn’t go too. There were a couple from Dolce & Gabbana worth a fortune.

“Her wedding dress was only a little cotton thing, a hundred quid at best in the shops. Whoever nicked it realised its significance and knew it had an extra value.”

Beauty And A Beat star Justin Bieber has sparked rumours that he’s called it a day with Selena Gomez by posting a cryptic photo on Instagram.

Justin posted a moody black and white photo with the caption “Lingse”, which fans quickly pointed out is an anagram of ‘single'.

The 18-year-old later deleted the picture but posted another snap of him looking into a mirror, which was captioned, “Just me.”

Kelly Osbourne shocked us all when she revealed what her favourite thing about being a woman is.

“The best thing about being a woman is having a vagina,” she joked to Digital Spy.

She continued: "I don't mean it! Women are so much more powerful than men. They may be stronger and faster than us, but a woman's intuition is something men wish they could have."

The TV presenter also spoke about her incredible weight loss.

“I worked hard for this [body]. There's a lot of bloody sweat gone into it.

“Unfortunately there's no secret. I work out and eat right. I wish I could tell you something else. A lot of people think I've had stomach surgery - I haven't. It's taken me three years.”
