X Factor's Tulisa has defended Caroline Flack's 'cougar' label, so everyone is going to stop calling her a cougar now, right? Right. Good. Finally.
Caroline earned the 'cougar' label after – and this might be news to you, so sit down and take some deep breaths – enjoying a brief fling with One Direction's Harry Styles back in January.
The star took quite a bit of heat for the relationship last year, mainly because One Direction fans are… what's the best way to say this? 'Enthusiastic'. Also, her surname is 'Flack', so the headlines just write themselves.
SEE? NOT A COUGAR.
But despite the 14-year age gap between the two, Tulisa has spoken up to defend her fellow cog in the X Factor machine, insisting she doesn't deserve the Big Cat tag.
Why are they called cougars, anyway?
"I've had them in my house at the same time and I've spent time apart with them as well. Harry is a very mature, charming young man, and he has enough intelligence to maintain a relationship with a slightly older woman," she told We Love Pop.
"Caroline is a very sensitive, fun, young-at-heart person. The combination of the two made complete sense to me."
Not a cougar either. It's a DOG.
And Tulisa admits her and Caroline sat down for some BBM chinwags (thumbwags) as the situation escalated.
"The situation would be up quite a bit, actually. People are so judgemental. She's one of the loveliest people I know. It's not cougar-ish and creepy."
Not creepy
All we're hearing here is 'being a cougar is okay I am totally going to be a cougar now' from Tulisa, so basically everyone who is in a boyband on the show this year: watch out.
