Victoria Beckham told Cheryl Cole that she was “happy to be thin” regardless of the criticism she encountered for it. The remarks have been revealed in the singer’s new book where she talks about spending time with the fashionista.

Holed up together in 2006 during theWorld Cup, Cheryl recalls the time when her and Victoria were getting ready to go down to dinner together. Even better, she was blowdrying Posh’s hair. What an honour.
Talking about how to cope with the press, Victoria opened up to the Promise This singer, revealing how she had no other choice than just to ignore it.
“How do I cope? I cope because I have to, because it’s the way my life is.”
“I’m hardened to it. I know how I’m perceived is not how I am, and that’s what matters.”
When talking about the flak she got in the media for her weight, the former Spice Girl admitted that again – it was her body and she could do whatever she wanted with it.
“When they say, I’m too thin, I just think: ‘You know what? I’m happy to be thin. I’m into fashion and I like being able to wear whatever I like. It’s my business, and if other people don’t like it, that’s their business.’”

In the book, Cheryl continues to reminisce of the time she spent on the continent with Victoria, even recalling how she “held her handbag up over her mouth” when she had made her laugh.
