Pick up your popcorn and prepare your eardrums. 1D are going… erm, 3D.
It’s been rumoured for a while One Direction are set to star in their own 3D movie and appearing on America’s Today Show this morning, the boys confirmed they’re about to follow in the footsteps of Katy Perry and Justin Bieber.
The movie will be directed by Supersize Me director Morgan Spurlock and Simon Cowell will also be raking it in, sorry, helping out as a producer.
Don’t start camping outside your local multiplex yet Directioners… the film’s not set to be released until August 30, 2013. So we’d head down for tickets from about March.
Around 15,000 fans turned up to see the boys play New York’s Rockefeller Plaza this morning in what the show described as its “biggest concert ever”.
But instead of getting all big-headed a rather lovely Harry Styles instead paid tribute to those who were affected by Hurricane Sandy, which recently hit the city.
"I think for us it's unbelievable to see the fans support,” he said. "I think in spite of everything that happened, our thoughts and prayers are with everyone that's been affected by Hurricane Sandy and to see everyone come out still when everything's happened is absolutely amazing. It means so much to us."
Ahhhh, bless his cottons.
