One Direction’s Zayn Malik missed out on a visit to megastar Johnny Depp’s house recently because he was way too nervous.
The Pirates Of The Caribbean star decided he wanted to give his One Direction-obsessed daughter Lily Rose, 13, a treat by arranging for the boys to pop by his recording studio in LA. All the boys except 19-year-old Zayn that is.
A source said: “Johnny found out 1D were in town and, after making a few calls, they came round to his studio.”
“[Johnny] brought out his piano and guitars for the boys to test and they had a little jam session.
“Lily Rose just watched with her blushing mates while her dad temporarily joined the world’s biggest boyband.”
“I didn’t want to embarrass myself”
Sadly Zayn missed all the fun because he was too worried about embarrassing himself in front of the Hollywood star.
Zayn said: “I was too nervous to go.
“I am a massive, massive fan and I didn’t want to embarrass myself so I let the boys go without me. Hopefully, there will be a next time. The boys said he was totally cool.
“I kind of regret it for sure and the lads said I was a scaredy cat.”
He compared meeting Johnny to how 1D’s female fans feel about seeing his band.
He said: “Some of our fans get so excited or nervous when they meet us and that’s how I was at the thought of being with Johnny.
“But instead of lapping it up and enjoying it, I ran the other way.”
This just makes us love you more Zayn.
