A few years ago, Rihanna made a 911 call after Chris Brown beat her up. That’s why it’s sort of funny (funny weird, not funny-haha)for Chris Brown to be victim of a hoax 911 call about a completely made up incident of domestic violence.
The Don’t Wake Me Up singer received a visit from LAPD after an anonymous call had been made to them claiming that a mother and father were in a fight and the father had gone to find a gun. Given the address of Chris’s $1.6million Hollywood Hills home, the police turned up to find that there was no domestic going on and that Chris had been pranked.
According to TMZ, there was no evidence of a gunman or any dispute at Chris’s property, and he wasn’t there at the time of the fake incident.
He’s not the first celebrity to be “swatted” – when an anonymous caller speaks to 911, claims there has been a major incident, then gives the address of a celebrity’s house, so the police turn up with an entire swat team –the Kardashians were victim to it the other day. Kris and Bruce Jenner were “swatted” when an anonymous called reported a man with a gun in their mansion.
The call woke up a pregnant Kim Kardashian: “Just got a call from my mom telling me about this prank call that someone was shot in their home & 15 swat team & 3 helicopters showed up!
"These prank calls are not funny! People can get arrested for this! I hope they find out who is behind this. It's dangerous & not a joke!"
Asides from wasting police time, it is quite lol, though. Just the tiniest bit. Other celebrities who’ve been victim to swatting include Justin Bieber, Tom Cruise and Ashton Kutcher.
