WE WISH THIS HAD HAPPENED TO US.
Yep, fresh-faced, gorgeous Emma Watson was stopped at US immigration after officials presumed she was a child travelling on her own.
We can’t even get ID’d buying a bottle of wine any more.
Emma, who became famous for playing Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter series, is now actually 22 years old, so the whole thing came as a bit of a shock.
She took to twitter, saying: “Passport control: ‘Unaccompanied minor?’ Me: ‘Sorry?’ Passport control: ‘Where is ur guardian?’ Me: ‘I’m 22!!!!!!!’ #neverwearingabackpackagain.”
She added: “The really sad thing is that this is not the first time this has happened .”
Yes Emma. That’s a REALLY SAD THING.
Ironically, in an interview published this month with Marie Claire, Emma spoke about how feeling older has also made her more confident.
“Now I feel a lot more settled in who I am and what I think and how I want to do things,” she said.
“And because I feel good about what I am doing, I don’t need anyone else to say whether they think it’s good or not.
She added: “I think that comes with age, which is nice.”
Hopefully her passport photo will catch up with her attitude asap.
