John Barrowman has been taken to hospital after injuring himself during a pantomime performance.
The TV star, who is currently appearing in Jack and the Beanstalk in Scotland, was bucked off a live horse during the matinee performance of the show.
According to reports, the actor told the crowd after the incident that he was feeling unwell before leaving the stage. The show was then postponed for 40 minutes before his understudy took to the stage.
Update:
He is now in the Western infirmary in Glasgow with, according to a fellow performer, “no broken bones, just bruises”.
A spokesman for the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre confirmed that the 45-year-old is not in a serious condition.
“During today's matinee performance of Jack and the Beanstalk, John Barrowman suffered an injury on stage and has been taken to hospital as a precaution.”
Phew. Poor John. Oh well – they do say you just need to get straight back on the horse.
Get well soon, John!
