Reports surfaced today that Naomi Campbell was the victim of a brutal mugging in Paris last month.
A source described the traumatic incident to the New York Post.
“It was terrifying. Naomi believes the assailant had been watching her, casing her out, and waited for a moment to strike when she was alone.”
“She was attacked in the street as she hailed a cab, and robbed. Her leg was injured as she was violently pushed to the ground. She was understandably very upset and shaken up.”
The supermodel was apparently so brutally attacked, that injuries to her leg meant that she had to be confined to a wheelchair.
Campbell’s billionaire boyfriend flew her to a leading orthopaedic specialist, who has also treated the likes of footballers Michael Owen and Alan Shearer, by private jet for treatment. Russian Vladimir Doronin is said to have since stepped up security for his 42-year-old girlfriend.
Naomi has not commented on the situation, though she has been pictured both in a wheelchair and using crutches recently. (Not at the same time we’d like to point out.)
To add confusion to the situation, there have been reports that the French police claim no such incident was reported to them. We can’t imagine the fiery star letting this one go.
Campbell has remained positive, tweeting upbeat messages and tweeting a picture last night with the caption “#ThrowBackThursday see no , hear no , speak no ! X N”.
