Simon Cowell confirmed earlier today that plans for a X Factor musical were going ahead by revealing that he was attending a workshop on the project.
But we can now confirm that the music mogul thinks it’s a sure fire hit!
Taking to his Twitter account, the 53-year-old stated: “The X factor musical is sensational! It's a yes from me.”
And it’s a massive, YES from us too!
Earlier this month the Britain’s Got Talent judge remarked about auditioning actors for his role – no doubt musing who would be the finest character to fill those high waisted trousers.
"Who would play me? We may have to do an audition show. That would be a good idea."
We only have one tip for the hopefuls. Get those knashers whitened. Pronto.
Looking at the sheer delight of his Twitter statement, it looks as though he is most definitely going to be ‘in’ on the project after saying that he was unsure of whether it was going to be a good idea.
Despite any previous reservations however, it’s full steam ahead now for the project and by the sound of it, Simon is aiming to make the show a huge success.
"Musicals are not my business but I’m going to approach it like I would a TV show. The team have spent a long time working on this and from the very first time I met Harry Hill he was absolutely besotted with the idea, so we’ll see."
Hang on. Imagine if Harry Hill was going to play Simon Cowell.
Sadly this isn’t true, but the comedian is in fact the brain child behind the spoof theatre show.
We suspect that this is going to be hilarious.
