Tissues at the ready... Wayne Rooney and Coleen Rooney and their family have shown just how devastated they are in the wake of the death of Coleen’s adopted sister Rosie McLoughlin, by paying tribute to the 14-year old.
Rosie tragically passed away on Saturday after a life long battle with ill heath, she had the rare genetic disorder Rett syndrome.
Both Wayne and Coleen - as well as dozens of other family members - have now poured their hearts out on a tribute page dedicated to Rosie in local paper The Liverpool Echo.
The Manchester United star wrote of his little sister-in-law,
“My angel Rosie, I will miss you so much. I will never forget the way you laughed and those big beautiful eyes. You are an inspiration to me. God has called for you so make Heaven glow. Your Wayne xxx.”
While Coleen also expressed how much she misses her sister, “I can’t get my head round that my special little sister has gone,
“I am going to miss that massive smile that would light up anywhere. An angel sent to us, a sister I never thought I would have.”
Rosie was adopted by Coleen’s parents Colette and Tony – our thoughts are with them and the rest of the family at this time.
