There’s nothing more awkward than running into your ex.
Oh no, wait – there is. Running into your ex when you’re a huge celebrity and everyone’s waiting to see how you cope.
So to save that nightmarish situation happening at the BRIT Awards tonight, Taylor Swift and Harry Styles are being kept well apart by BRIT bosses.
The show’s organisers have housed One Direction in a completely different backstage area to Taylor so the former flames don’t get stressed out before their performances.
A source backstage said: “No one wants anything awkward to happen. Taylor and Harry are definitely being kept well apart.”
Pop royalty
Taylor, 23, will be sharing her backstage space with other artists whereas 19-year-old Harry and the other 1D boys – Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson will be treated like pop royalty in their very own area.
A source told The Metro: “Taylor is near Robbie [Williams], Justin Timberlake, Mumford & Sons and James Corden in one area.
“Harry is down a different corridor with an extra-large room for himself and the other 1D lads.
“The 1D dressing room is well-hidden too so if Taylor did want to find Harry and smooth things over, she’d have to do some serious looking before she’d find him.”
The pair have also been rehearsing for the big event on different days to save them running into each other. Harry and 1D were rehearsing all day yesterday while Taylor will use today to get her performance finalised.
