Blue Ivy can do mum Beyonce’s Single Ladies dance thanks to The Chipmunks! Huh?

Blue Ivy is reportedly already following in her mum’s footsteps, by doing the famous hand moment from the Single Ladies dance routine.

It’s not that surprising to hear that little Blue is copying her mum Beyonce Knowles, but you might be surprised to hear how Blue learned the dance move.

Blue didn’t pick up the move after watching hours and hours of footage of her mum performing, she actually learned the dance from one of the Chipmunks movies.

The Chipmunks as in Alvin, Simon, Theodore (do do da do do do).

The high-pitched furballs sing a version of Single Ladies in Alvin And The Chipmunks: The Squeakquel, and Blue learned her mum’s signature move from the film.

“There are a lot of kids now who know the song was on the Chipmunks series. All of the kids are like, ‘Oh, that’s the Chipmunk song!’ which is so interesting. My daughter actually does the hand movement and sings, ‘Uh oh,’” Beyonce tells The Sun.

Hopefully it will be a while before Blue learns any of dad Jay-Z’s song lyrics.
