Gwyneth Paltrow raised a few “Are you trying to tell us something”-style eyebrows after she admitted her marriage to Coldplay singer Chris Martin is “complicated” and called him her “co-parent”.
The actress, 40, has been married to Chris, 36, since 2003 and told The Sun their relationship was “complicated” before adding: “Regardless of what happens in our marriage, I chose the best father. We are committed co-parents.”
But a source close to the couple told the paper Gwynnie was hinting at a split, saying: “They are still very much together.”
The actress is currently promoting her new recipe book, It’s All Good, and at the weekend revealed she nearly died after miscarrying their third child.
“I had a really bad experience when I was pregnant with my third and it didn’t work out and I nearly died,” she said, before admitting her relationship with Beyonce, Jay Z and baby Blue Ivy had made her broody.
“I was a mum before Beyonce so I suppose I may have passed on some advice but I have learnt so much from her too,” she said.
Gwyneth admitted last year they had to work at their relationship – when asked what was hardest about being married to Chris (with whom she has children Apple, nine, and Moses, seven) she said: “Probably our artistic temperaments. Artists are sensitive — there are ups and downs, mood-wise.”
