While we're all pretty excited to finally see Baz Luhrmann's The Great Gatsby thanks to the very long wait and the super glitzy trailers. One of the details to emerge during the run up to the release is that Beyoncé has recorded a cover of Any Winehouse's epic Back To Black. Amy's dad Mitch has spoken out about his unhappiness at the singer taking on his late daughter's hit single.
Mitch has said of Beyoncé singing the cover, "I don't think she brings anything to it. I wasn't asked my permission if they could record it."
When Mitch discovered Bey had recorded a version of the song he tweeted the singer suggesting she could donate £100,000 to his Amy Winehouse Foundation.
He's now agreed to the song being recorded and used in the film but it has come at a high price for Bey.
"They have got to pay for the privilege, which is what they are doing. I can’t tell you how much it is but it’s a lot of money."
Mitch Winehouse isn't alone in feeling Beyoncé doesn't do his daughter's work justice. Fans of Amy Winehouse have spoken out after hearing a clip of the stripped back version which features a rap from Andre 3000.
