It’s not a good day for Dappy. The N-Dubz singer has lost his appeal against his conviction for assault and affray.
The 25-year-old rapper was at the court of appeal in London today to hear the ruling. Dappy’s co-defendants Kieran Vassell and Alfred Miller also lost the appeal against their sentences.
Mr Justice Royce said neither sentence was manifestly excessive in what was a serious affray. Which wasn't really what Dappy was hoping to hear.
Dappy – real name Costadinos Contostavlos – was given a six-month sentence, suspended for 18-months, and 150 hours of community service at Guilford crown court in February this year in a case relating to a fight at petrol station.
The fight started after Dappy spat at a man who stepped in to defend a woman that Dappy was rowing with.
