Now that the summer is just around the corner (Not that you’d believe it at the moment…) everyone is frantically trying to slim down in time for their summer holidays.
This includes stars such as Kelly Osbourne and Katy Perry who swear by the new 14-day mushroom diet, which is said to slim down your waist but keep your bust intact.
However, is this just ANOTHER celebrity diet like Madonna’s air diet or Snooki’s cookie diet?
The mushroom diet, or the M-Plan as A-listers are calling it, promises to help you slim down your tum, bum, thighs and upper arms.
The diet promises to help women lose weight from the stubborn areas over a 14-day period by replacing just one regular lunchtime snack or dinner with a mushroom inspired dish.
The ‘super vegetables’ are “extremely rich in protein, which helps promote good bowel function leaving you feeling more satisfied, so you won’t be hungry again as quickly, preventing you from snacking” explains nutritionist and health broadcaster Jeanette Jackson.
It’s said that, not only do mushrooms help you shed pounds, but they also improve your looks too, which must be true judging by how Kelly and Katy look at the moment!
“We all know that feeling of losing weight everywhere but where we want, particularly if you’re a typical British pear-shape.
“But the mushroom, diet, just like the fungi itself, means you keep the weight where you want it up top and shed pounds where you don’t down below!!” explains Jeanette.
Mushrooms are so borrring though! Oh well, hopefully this is the answer to all our beach-bod dreams. Only time - and a thousand mushrooms - will tell.
