Designer and long-term girlfriend of Mick Jagger L'Wren Scott was found dead in her Manhattan apartment today. The world of showbiz and style was rocked by the news the 49-year-old had taken her own life and stars have been quick to pay their heartfelt tributes.
Mick Jagger's ex-wife Bianca Jagger was among the first to share her thoughts taking to Twitter to say, "Heartbroken to learn of the loss of the lovely and talented L'Wren Scott. My thoughts and prayers are with her family. May she rest in peace."
L'Wren was much loved by the A-list thanks to her stylish designs worn by the likes of Olivia Munn, Nicole Kidman and Christina Hendricks. The Newsroom star Olivia tweeted her sadness at the death of the designer, "Shocked and saddened by the passing of @lwrenscott... she was an amazing soul, talented artist and an unbelievably giving friend. RIP."
Also among the celebrities to tweet tributes was Shameless USA star Emmy Rossum who often wore L'Wren's designs on the red carpet.
"Sad to hear of the death of L'Wren Scott. What a beautiful woman and an incredible designer."
Fellow fashion designer Marc Jacobs said, "Rest in peace, L'Wren Scott. You'll be forever missed."
According to reports L'Wren's boyfriend Mick Jagger is said to be 'completely shock and devastated' by the news his girlfriend of 10 years' death.
