After four weeks at the top of the UK box office, Run, Fat Boy Run has finally slowed down for a breather. Ben Stiller comedy The Heartbreak Kid opened at the top with a mild £1.3million in takings, followed by Jamie Foxx actioner The Kingdom. The Simon Pegg marathon-themed picture has wobbled down to third place, followed by period weepie Atonement. Over in the US, The Heartbreak Kid failed to open at Number One, and its takings overall are a bit disappointing considering the film reunites Ben Stiller with his There’s Something About Mary directors the Farrelly brothers. After the riotous joys of Knocked Up and Superbad, this latest Hollywood comedy just isn’t quite cutting it.
