Jonathan Rhys Meyers will NOT be charged with public drunkenness offences after being arrested at Dublin Airport two weeks ago. The actor was drunk and abusive when he was refused permission to board a flight to London, but has since apologised to police for the incident. Just three days after the fracas on 18 November, his mother Geraldine died after a long illness. The actor’s lawyer says JRM’s behaviour was “unacceptable and out of character” and said he had made a charity to donation to acknowledge his remorse.
