Yesterday it was confirmed that Heath Ledger died from an accidental overdose of six different prescription drugs – and now US federal authorities want to know how he got hold of so much different medication. Heath had taken several different kinds of sleeping pills, painkillers and anti-anxiety tablets – and now a spokeswoman from the New York Drug Enforcement Agency says they believe some of them could have been prescribed illegally and they’re determined to get to the bottom of it. “We are working with the NYPD to identify any illegally prescribed drugs that may have been prescribed to Ledger,” she said. Heath’s father has already bravely spoken out to say that “Heath's accidental death serves as a caution to the hidden dangers of combining prescription medication, even at low dosage.”
