When Heath Ledger died last month, he was in the middle of filming The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus – a big-budget fantasy movie by legendary director Terry Gilliam. But instead of starting from scratch with a different actor or using computer-generated imagery to complete the movie, Gilliam has enlisted not one but three different top Hollywood stars to take on Heath’s role. As the movie features a supernatural mirror which takes people into different dimensions, Gilliam has now developed a twist which means Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell can ALL take on Heath’s role during different parts of the movie. After a couple of weeks of rumours that seemed just too impressive to be true, this was confirmed today by Jude Law’s spokesman. With a line-up like that, it’s bound to be one hell of a movie – and a suitably spectacular end to Heath’s tragically short career.
