Tom Cruise is SO weird, we’re totally obsessed with him. Thank God, then, for his ex Nicole Kidman, who, once a year, lets slip a juicy little detail about their former marriage. In a new interview, Nicole openly admits that her relationship with Tom was "lousy" saying, "I went six years alone. I'm not saying it's for everyone, but it's better to be alone than in a lousy relationship." Ouch. The actress, who won an Oscar following her divorce from Tom in 2001, also said that she had spent their marriage living in Tom's shadow (and that’s saying something, considering how short he is). "I felt I became a star only by association. I didn't think [my early movies] were very good, which is why I would always cower in the background," she confessed. "I thought, I don't deserve to be here. We would go to the Oscars and I would think, I'm here to support him. I felt it was my job to put on a beautiful dress and to be seen and not heard." Ooh, we would have loved to be a fly on the wall the day Tom heard about Nicole's Oscar win... *cackles* Nicole is now blissfully happy with Keith Urban and their baby daughter Sunday Roast, but clearly her years with Cruise did affect her. And, is it just us, or does Katie Holmes also seem to be lurking in Tom's shadow?
