Go on, you know you want to. Sing along to High School Musical 3, that is. Following the success of the singalong version of Mamma Mia!, cinema audiences will get the chance to pretend they’re Troy, Gabriella, Sharpay and the gang when special karaoke-style subtitled prints of Senior Year open TODAY in 128 cinemas nationwide. Disney are also celebrating HSM3 overtaking Moulin Rouge! to be the second biggest ever musical at the UK box office, behind only Mamma Mia! – which, frankly, no one is going to overtake for a very long time.
The all-time top 10 musicals in the UK now are:
1. Mamma Mia! The Movie – £67.2million
2. High School Musical 3: Senior Year – £20.1million
3. Moulin Rouge! – £18.5million
4. Chicago – £16.4million
5. Evita – £14.2million
6. Hairspray – £12.6million
7. Sweeney Todd – £11.0million
8 Phantom Of The Opera – £9.0million
9. Dreamgirls – £3.8million
10. The Producers – £2.9million
Exciting HSM3 news!
