It’s no secret that Gwyneth Paltrow’s goop.com website makes us cringe into our macrobiotic lunch (chips and mayo are macrobiotic, right?), so we can’t help but be slightly amused by this story. A journalist called Mary Kate Hearon says that Gwyneth copied her own holistic lifestyle website, The Weekly Beet, after the pair met and discussed the idea a few years ago. “A few years ago, I had e-mailed Gwyneth's best friend... when I was living in London,” she said, according to reports in the US. “I asked her to e-mail Gwyneth The Beet because I was excited for her to read it since she was one of the few celebs into alternative medicine. This is pretty scandalous. People deserve to know the idea isn't her own.” Although an official spokesperson for Gwyneth declined to comment on the allegation, a friend of the actress says it’s “ridiculous” and that Gwyneth has never even heard of Mary Kate or her website. Wow, what a grown-up squabble – it’s bringing back traumatic memories of the time that cow in year 9 wore the same scrunchie as us to the Valentine’s disco…
