Are you choking back the tears after seeing the brilliant Marley & Me this weekend? We have to admit that we’re still feeling a bit weepy after watching it, so it’s good to know we’re probably not alone... the weekend box office figures are in, and Marley & Me had the biggest opening weekend of 2009 so far, taking a total of £4.4 million over the five days since its release. Wow, that buys a lot of dog biscuits. This means that the adventures of the badly behaved Marley and his loving but long suffering family, played brilliantly by Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston, have topped the likes of Slumdog Millionaire and The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button. We love that a cute little Labrador puppy is more popular than Brad Pitt. Quite right too!
