Party of the Cannes Film Festival so far was last night's bash for new movie Nowhere Boy, which just wrapped shooting in the UK. Held at boutique hotel 3.14's swanky beach, the party was the first official sighting of Paris Hilton, who arrived with her hunky boyfriend Doug from US reality show The Hills. Nowhere Boy is about the teenage John Lennon and stars the very cute Aaron Johnson (the boy in Angus, Thongs & Perfect Snogging) as Lennon. He is currently dating the film's director, trendy artist Sam Taylor Wood, despite an age gap of at least two decades, and the pair were being very sweetly affectionate together. We chatted to Thomas Sangster (aka the littlle boy from Love Actually, now all grown up), who plays Paul McCartney in the film. Thomas, who just turned 19, is in Cannes selling two scripts developed by his own production company – yes, the boy from Love Actually is now a movie mogul. Where did we go wrong? We chatted to Peaches Geldof, then danced with Ben Whishaw (Layer Cake, Perfume), who plays English poet John Keats in new film Bright Star, which is wowing the critics. Ben's Bright Star co-star Abbie Cornish was also there with hot boyfriend Ryan Phillippe, plus Nowhere Boy cast members Colin Firth (dancing to Jocelyn Brown's Somebody Else's Guy) and Kristin Scott Thomas (dancing to House Of Pain's Jump Around!). Top beverages were Champagne or vodka plus multiple flavours of Vitamin Water. Apparently it's good for you and everything!
