US actor Alec Baldwin has admitted in a new interview that he seriously considered taking his own life. The 30 Rock star was left devastated after an angry voicemail message he'd left for his 11-year-old daughter – in which he ranted that she was a "thoughtless little pig" – was put on the internet. Alec and his ex-wife Kim Basinger had been in the midst a very public battle at the time, and Alec lost some visitation rights because of the message. Talking to Playboy about his feelings at the time, Alec says, "I was very serious. I spoke to a lot of professionals, who helped me. If I committed suicide, they [former wife Kim Basinger's team] would have considered that a victory... Destroying me was their avowed goal." Alec says he feels more positive now, although it doesn't sound as if there's any love lost between him and Kim. Ain't love grand, eh?
