According to a source, Mischa Barton has been placed under an involuntary psychiatric hold by the LA Police Department. On Wednesday afternoon, LAPD officers were called to the 23-year-old actress’ Hollywood Hills home after receiving a call from her residence, and began assisting her with a “medical issue”. The source then claims that Mischa was placed under Section 5150 of the California Welfare and Institute and transferred to Cedars-Sinai Medical Centerions Code. According to the code, authorities can hold a person involuntarily if they present a danger to themselves or others, are gravely disabled, or suffer from a mental disorder.
