They may be a bizarre match, but according to Isla Fisher, it was thanks to loving hubby Sacha, that she’s been playing all her hilarious roles (Wedding Crashes, Confessions Of A Shopaholic, Definitely Maybe) on the silver screen.
The pretty actress was originally in Home And Away back in the nineties and played a very angsty young lady called Shannon, who suffered from an eating disorder while living with Pippa. Remember Pippa?
Anyway, we digress. Well, it seems Isla hadn’t even considered that she was funny enough to star in comedy flicks until Sacha came along and told her, “You’re funniest girl. Not many women are willing to make a fool of themselves.” He then managed to get her to marry him, so he's obviously got the tongue of a silky smooth man.
The gentle push from him towards the Wedding Crashers door worked wonders - and Isla got her very first film audition (plus a wedding and two kids) out of it – and the rest, as they say, is history.
