We bet Russell Brand’s feeling pretty pleased with himself today – he’s currently occupying the top two places on the US film chart.
Russell is at Number One with Easter family film Hop, in which he voices an animated bunny who is the runaway son of the Easter Bunny; the film co-stars hunky James Marsden. Russ is also at Number Two the box office with his remake of Arthur, which is about a millionaire play boy who refuses to grow up, and co-stars the wonderful Helen Mirren. So far Hop as grossed a total of $68,152,000 while Arthur raked in $12,605,000 on its first week of release. While critics in the US haven’t been too kind about Russell Brand’s version of Arthur, it would seem the public are keen enough.
It’s crazy to think that Russ has transformed from big-haired, sex addicted comedian in to a proper Hollywood film star, isn't it?
