Well, would you believe it: Jennifer Love Hewitt has been named as the worst actress of the last 25 years.
This is surely a little harsh? Especially for those of us who can recall that performance of a lifetime in the superb I Know What You Did Last Summer. Ok, so we are being a tad sarcastic but is she really that bad?
Well, yes it would seem so. You see, the honour was given after careful calculations were made based on how well the films she has starred in have done, according to top film critics.
The information was compiled by Slate.com and based on Jennifer’s ratings on movie website Rotten Tomatoes, in which none of her films have ever scored a ‘fresh rating’. Basically, she has consistently made stinkers. As the website kindly points out:
'Her average score of 18.9 owes to such duds as Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit (7 percent), I Know What You Did Last Summer (35 percent), I Still Know What You Did Last Summer (7 percent), and both Garfield movies (15 percent and 11 percent, respectively).’
On the plus side, maybe it’s not so much she is a terrible actress, rather that she simply picks terrible films.
