The deafening cries of Twilight fans can be heard across the nation today, as a studio executive revealed that Breaking Dawn Part 2 may not spell the end of the popular book and film franchise.
We’ve laughed and cried along with Bella as we've watched her deal with typical teen woes such as growing up without a mother, falling in love with a vampire and having a tiny tiny demon child growing in her womb. We guess that kind of explains all the frowning.
John Feltheimer, chief of Lionsgate, has predicted that the film that shot Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson to fame won’t end at Breaking Dawn, but will carry on to produce further films estimated to be worth millions. John says,
“I’m anticipating Breaking Dawn Part 2 being $700 million-plus in worldwide box office…It’s hard for me to imagine a movie that does $700 million-plus doesn’t have ongoing value…It’s an amazing franchise that they have done a great job of maintaining with absolutely no deterioration. So the simple answer is, ‘Boy I hope so.’”
What do you Heatworld citizen’s think? Should Breaking Dawn bring this Twilight madness to an end, or are you all excited at the prospect of a potential new instalment? John also confessed that Lionsgate were hoping to adapt the film into a TV series, and we already know New York will be hosting a Twilight musical.
We suppose if anything, it’ll give us more time to decide on our answer to that age old question; Team Jacob or Team Edward?
