Prepare to get spooked out and chilled like crazy with the teaser trailer for one of the most anticipated remakes ever, Carrie, starring Chloe Grace Moretz and Julianne Moore.
Set for release in early 2013, Carrie is a remake of the 1976 Brian de Palma film, uh, Carrie. It's also based on a book called Stephen King called… well, the book is called Carrie.
The film was previously remade as a TV special called, ahem, Carrie, which even spawned a sequel: The Rage: Carrie 2. The main character is called Carrie.
Carrie
So, you get that it's called Carrie. In it, an outcast teenage girl (called Carrie, and played by Moretz) discovers she possesses weird, spooky powers that flare up when she is distressed or picked on by her Mammy (Moore). Remember Matilda? It's kind of like Matilda. Only instead of a big cake there is a bucket full of pig's blood.
This was probably before they filmed the bad stuff, seeing as they're smiling
Iconic
The iconic climactic scene centres around her prom night, and the teaser trailer gives a sneaky hint at what's in store for audiences. Go look at it, go watch.
And it seems like Moretz is taking the film seriously, too. In an earlier interview with Coming Soon, the star hinted that she was preparing to transform from the cute, sweary girl in Kick-Ass for her first real adult role. "I'm becoming a totally different person for it," she said. "I'm letting go of all of my self-esteem issues and just kind of going into it."
It's an amazing story with a stellar cast, so we are pretty psyched for this one. Not so psyched that we are slamming windows with our mind, but pretty psyched nonetheless.
