Amy Winehouse’s husband Blake Fielder-Civil could face life in prison if convicted of conspiracy to pervert justice. Blake was arrested last night over an alleged £200,000 plot to fix a trial. Blake and friend Michael Brown were accused of GBH with intent over the brutal assault of barman James King that occurred at the Macbeth pub in Hoxton, north London, in June this year. Blake is believed to have offered James money to "disappear" during the forthcoming trial, thereby hoping it would collapse. They will be questioned by detectives later this morning. As police led Blake away last night Amy was said to be distraught, screaming and begging to be taken away too. Amy is in hiding this morning, but a spokeperson for her said, "The only thing I can tell you is that it has nothing to do with drugs and that Amy is fine and she has not been charged or arrested."
