A rare video has emerged of Kanye West performing on stage last year with his mum Donda, who tragically died last weekend after undergoing cosmetic surgery. The rapper brought his beloved mum on stage last summer to serenade her with his song Hey Mama, which he wrote to thank her for bringing him up alone. Meanwhile, friends of Kayne’s have spoken out about the rapper’s distress and grief. It seems that Donda may have kept her plans for a tummy tuck and breast reduction op a secret from her son, so as not to worry him while he was overseas. “I don’t think Kanye was aware Donda was getting the surgery, or certainly the extent of it,” says one source. "He loved and supported her just the way she was. He thought she was beautiful. But Donda had image issues, like a lot of women." Unsurprisingly, Kanye has cancelled all of his forthcoming commitments – he was actually set to play alongside the Spice Girls at last night’s Victoria’s Secret show, but Black Eyed Peas star Will I Am stepped in at the last minute to replace him.
