Victoria Beckham has confirmed what has been a long-running Spice Girls rumour: there is a bitter rivalry between the two loudest Spices, Mel B and Geri. During an interview for the Spice Girls' tell-all documentary, Giving You Everything (BBC1, 31 December at 7pm) Posh reveals. “They [Mel B and Geri] were both the really, really loud ones. They were incredibly vocal. When they got on it was great, but when they didn’t, it was a power struggle.” Posh goes on to explain how Emma Bunton became the peacekeeper of the band, smoothing things over when the rows between Mel B and Geri exploded, “I think she [Emma] could slot right in the middle of the two of them quite comfortably. I wanted to be like that, but it just wasn’t me, same as it wasn’t Mel C. We were normally the bookends, me and Melanie.”
