Those rumours of a Girls Aloud split just won’t die – but now Kimberley Walsh’s dad has spoken out to say that the stories are totally untrue. “It’s just a fantasy,” says Mr W, on tabloid stories that the girls are planning to split and then reform in five years. “The national papers put this story out every now and again but it is just utter nonsense. To be honest, Kimberley gets sick to death of reading them. The band might well have a break of a few weeks or something, but that wouldn't be until the end of the year. Things get twisted so much.” Hmm… we think this one should be filed under “wait and see”.
