It’s not just Joss Stone who’s got delusions of American-ness – Natasha Bedingfield has now said a few choice things to make us wonder if she’s forgotten her ye olde Englishe roots. Natasha, who is famously mahoosive in the US, says she’d fed up with pop stars like Lily Allen and Kate Nash singing in their authentic London accents. “When I was in England last year, it was all about girls with cockney accents,” she says. “I’ll be happy when normal voices come back.” Er, “normal voices”? What can be more “normal” than singing in your actual accent? Has somebody forgotten that they’re from Lewisham, Bedders? Eek, it’s not going to do much to stop her UK fans complaining that she’s abandoned them for the lucrative US market, is it?
