Joss Stone might be a bit of a comedy figure – albeit quite by accident – but she’s got some very serious business to deal with at the moment – she’s run up huge debts. Despite the fact that her music career hasn’t exactly been on fire for a good couple of years, she paid herself a whopping £2.2million salary last year – which means her company Joss Ltd is now over £400,000 in debt, while Joss ROW Touring faced a £210,000 loss, and Joss Publishing Ltd lost over £60,000. “Joss bought a house last year, so a large chunk of money went on that,” says a friend of the singer. Eek. If all this means she’ll be signing up for more of those traumatic Flake adverts, we might have to leave the country…
