We remember the days when were afraid to open our inbox for fear of what Britney had been up to over the weekend, but these days she just seems to be getting better and better – and this latest stunt is a perfect example. The star has filmed an advert for this year's MTV Video Music Awards, where she chats away with this year's host Russell Brand while a, erm, elephant stands nearby. Britney and the awards' organisers have clearly decided to acknowledge the pop princess' disastrous performance at last year's event by gently poking a bit of fun. In the clip, Russell is asking Britney for advice on how to host the awards while both are ignoring the fact that there's a huge elephant in the room. Genius! Britney takes all the gentle ribbing in good favour, and at one point even turned the joke around on her wild-haired companion, saying she's never heard of him and referring to him as "Russell Brown". The singer's appearance in the advert has led to speculation that she will be joining him onstage at the awards. Russell himself joked, "I'm planning to have lesbian kisses with Britney and Madonna individually. It's not going to be easy with my genitals, but God, I will try." One thing's for certain, these awards look set to be the most entertaining yet...
