This morning, we told you that Take That had sold 300,000 tickets in under an hour – but they’ve gone one better than that now. Well, 300,000 better, actually – over 600,000 tickets to the boys’ summer stadium tour sold in under five hours, making it the fastest-selling UK tour in history! Blimey. The previous record-holder was Michael Jackson, for his 1987 Bad tour. Pretty amazing, no? TT have issued a statement, thanking fans for snapping up the tickets. “We are, once again, totally astounded by the response today and amazed at being able to break such records,” they said. “We feel very privileged to be in this position at such a time. We’re all meeting up this afternoon to start planning next summer and promise to make it the very best show we’ve ever done. See you in 2009!” The boys have added two more dates in Manchester and London so, in case you’re getting confused, here are those UK dates in full:
