Scream! Just one day to go until we see Britney Spears on The X Factor, and the excitement is almost getting too much to bear after we saw her live performance from The Bambi Awards in Germany last night (nothing to do with actual Bambi, other than the statuette is shaped like a shiny gold deer). Brit won Best International Pop Star at the event, which was presented to her by fashion supremo Karl Lagerfeld who gushed over Britters, insisting she has “come back as a bird of paradise”. Which maybe explained the feather-laden shoulders on her outfit. Or not. But anyway, she did look (and sound) amazing in black pants, corset and black top hat. After dancing as an arty silhouette behind a white circular screen, Britney magically then emerged from a big ring of fire before breaking into Womanizer. There were lots of top hats, scary clown face montages on screen, and a nice little doodly-doo bit on a flute every so often. And the Circus-inspired craziness continued throughout Brit’s performance, including a man in a large rolling globe thing which, by our reckoning, had it’s last incarnation as an Atlasphere in Gladiators. But quite magnificently, Britney ended up atop the globe at the end. Quite truly magnificent, it was. Bring on tomorrow night!
