We've always been under the impression that there's not a lot of love lost between Kate Moss and The Kills' singer Alison Mosshart. Kate is, of course, girlfriend of The Kills' other member Jamie Hince, while Alison has been Jamie's best mate for yonks. It was always going to be a difficult relationship. When Kate was going out with Pete Doherty, he often invited her up on stage to sing with him at gigs, and it would appear the model has now developed a taste for performing. She is said to be keen to collaborate with both Jamie and Alison, perhaps even joining them on stage at their gigs. However, Alison has now spoken out to poo-poo the whole idea, and we don't know about you, but we get the distinct impression she's not Ms Moss' biggest fan... "I don't understand how it would be appropriate," she replied when asked if she would consider a collaboration with Kate. She was also quick to point out that Kate's relationship with Jamie hadn't altered her friendship with him one bit, saying, "Of course not. No, nothing between us has changed. We've known each other for 12 years, we're best friends. I don't see how we could possibly be any closer! We spend 24 hours a day together most of the time and we have done so for the past billion years, it seems like." As well as defending her and Jamie's relationship, Alison also let slip that her Kills bandmate still hasn't officially moved in with Kate. "We own an art space that we live in, but he doesn't sleep there as often as he used to," she explains, "But yes, we are still flatmates." We know from experience that it can be hard to get along with a new boyfriend's best female friend, so we must say we feel a bit sorry for Kate in this scenario. However, it seems that for now a Friday night of SingStar is the closest Kate will get to performing.
