Yesterday we revealed that EastEnders bosses were well narked with a Facebook user pretending to be actress Kara Tointon and leaking plot-lines from the show. And now Lily Allen is caught up in a similar situation. There are zillions of faux-Lils on the social networking site (and we really don’t understand where people find the time to energy to set them up) but one in particular is widely regarded to be the real deal – and the tabloids often take stories from the status updates that she, or indeed he, posts. However, fans are now speaking out to lift the lid on the Lily faker, after it became evident that it wasn’t really her. “Like thousands of others I have been receiving daily updates from my fave singer Lily Allen via the wonderful world of Facebook, under this profile,” says one user who got in touch with heatworld. “It looks extremely convincing… However 'Lily Allen' spoke to me on Facebook chat and begun to ask me some very strange things indeed! 'Lily Allen' then gave me her MSN address and started saying very odd things to me which a celebrity wouldn't say to a fan! After some investigating I've realised this definitely isn't her and this person needs to be exposed. Thousands of people AND other celebrities are being fooled and it's not right!” Ooh, it is a bit annoying, isn’t it? Not to mention decidedly dodgy, depending on what those “strange things” might be. And just think of all those wasted pokes that could have been used to annoy a real famous person…
Who's the fake Lily Allen?
