Britney's former manager Sam Lutfi was yesterday ordered to stay away from the star for three years. After a lengthy court battle, in which Sam's lawyers argued their client only wanted to help the star, a judge ruled that Lutfi's current restraining order be extended for three years. In addition to this, a lawyer named Jon Eardley, who had challenged Jamie Spears conservatorship, was also given a three-year restraining order. Both men must stay at least 100 yards away from Britney, her two sons, and the homes of her family. They are also not permitted to contact the star through phone or email. Sam Lutfi is furious with the judge's decision, with his lawyer saying, "We absolutely will appeal this ruling. Never before in history has a restraining order been issued against someone who answered another person's cries for help." Sam also has a separate lawsuit against the Spears family for defamation of character and battery, but this is still pending.
