There’s no disputing that the UK is likely to do pretty well at tomorrow night’s sparkling Eurovision Song Contest final in Moscow, with Andrew Lloyd Webber’s "rousing" anthemic ballad It’s My Time sung by Jade Ewen. And the German entry, featuring Dita Von Teese (possibly with her boobies out) is also bound to bag votes. But if the current bookies’ odds are anything to go by, Norway’s Alexander Rybak may as well be given the coveted Euro gong right now! Twenty-three-year-old Alex’s song Fairytale features the David Platt/Eggnog-with-a-decent-haircut-a-like playing the fiddle, a jaunty folksy tune, sexy female backing singers, and some damn fine multiple backflips by three blokes in black. Amazing. According to Ladbrokes, Alexander is currently evens to win (ie: there’s nil point in betting on him now), while our Jade is fifth favourite at 12/1. Greece’s Sakis Rouvas (who’s, dare we say it, kinda hot) is second favourite at 11/2, followed by Turkey and Bosnia Herzigovena. Roll on tomorrow night’s glitterball of Euro-musical campery we say! Watch it from 8pm on BBC1. Do YOU think the UK has any chance in hell of winning?
