When we were kids, we couldn't imagine anything cooler than having a Blue Peter presenter as a parent, and for Sophie Ellis Bextor this was a reality. Her mum Janet Ellis worked on the classic kids' TV show, and Sophie used to get loads of perks. "I used to pester her to bring things home," Sophie remembers. "I used to get a lot of the [here's one we made earlier] makes." However, Sophie does admit that having a mum all little kids love can be tricky. "We used to go out and she’d get mobbed by six year olds. It affected me in a strange way, I was mostly proud but also incredibly possessive – and I used to get quite jealous of all these other little people having a relationship with my mum." Aww, bless little Sophie. She was also bullied for a time at school because of her famous mum, but admits she was probably a bit "showey-offey" about the whole thing. "There was an ‘Against Sophie’ club," she says. "But I probably would show off about some things." We find the idea of a little Sophie unbearably cute.
