Much has been said about Robbie Williams' appearance on Sunday night’s X Factor, and now the singer himself has spoken out about his big comeback to claim that a stage malfunction caused the slightly shambolic performance of his new single Bodies. The 35 year-old revealed on his blog that he got thrown when the stage doors failed to open at the beginning of his set and said: “I wasn’t as nervous as I thought I was going to be… until the friggin sliding door wouldn’t open. I don’t know if you saw but I had to wedge it open myself. That wasn’t part of the show, that was brute strength. So there’s a bad start. I had a whole pose planned and what not. But that went out of the window.” Do you think nerves got the better of him? Or do you think he’d enjoyed far too many coffees in the green room before the show?
