We'd been getting all excited about a potential hot new celebrity couple all morning, but it turns out that Alexandra Burke and Peter Andre are not set to be the next nation's sweethearts. Alexandra has been in touch this morning to tell us she's not going on any dates or dinners with Mr Andre, saying in a statement, "Alexandra has no plans to go on a date or have dinner with Peter Andre. Today’s tabloid stories about a future date are false. They met when he hosted the Paul O'Grady show and Alexandra was a guest. There is absolutely no romance between them." So, there you go. We're slightly sad, but at least this means Peter Andre is still up for grabs. Hurrah!
